We're often asked, "What's the difference between our hand + body soaps and our speciality soaps?" It's been a minute since my last blog and this is the perfect space to answer this question and talk about the uniqueness of our soaps!
The simple answer: it comes down to the formula (recipe, if you will) and the soap's intended purpose. I spent several years researching, creating, and testing our formulas.
Our hand + body soaps are intended for daily use, by all. These soaps are made following a single recipe and are formulated to gently cleanse, hydrate, and nourish skin with plenty of lather and bubbles. Let's not forget the scents! Hand + body soaps come in a variety of scents, colors, and designs. The bar shown here, Western Skies, was inspired by summer sunsets in the West.
Our specialty soaps are each uniquely formulated for the purpose for which they are intended. The scent and appearance of each rarely, if ever, varies. For instance, our Shave Bar (shown below) is intended as a zero-waste alternative to commercial shaving cream. It is formulated to result in a creamy, low lather that provides the perfect "glide" for a razor, while leaving your skin soft and conditioned. Our Beard + Hair Bar (think shampoo bar) is made with ingredients specifically beneficial for hair and is formulated to provide a bubbly lather that gently cleanses and conditions hair. Our facial bars are intended for delicate facial and neck areas and are made with nutrient-rich ingredients formulated to gently cleanse, remove impurities, hydrate, brighten, and improve skin tone.
Our specialty soaps are our best sellers, for a good reason. But, when it comes down to it, all of our soaps are ... well, soap. If you chose to use one bar for washing, shampooing + shaving, no judgment here. I'm just happy you're using our soap.
Happy lathering!
